Review:FLUID FILM DOES WORK WITH THE EXTENSION NOZZLE, it just needs to be heated first. I found a forum thread about a guy that used Fluid Film in a hand pump sprayer bottle after heating it up to make it less viscous. He can do that, then there's no reason why gun with 90PSI behind it can't work! Since so many reviews on here were saying the extension wand didn't work, I decided to try it heated. There was no problem. I used a fondue heater that's like a small crock pot. Others have heated the can of Fluid Film while submerged in a pot of water on an electric hotplate. However, you should expect only a fine mist from the nozzle of the extension. Is that bad? NO. It atomizes the Fluid Film and positively gives you a nearly spherical spray pattern. If you are under the car where it's dark, you will not even see the Fluid Film coming out. Hold it up in sunlight and it's pretty obvious. I suspect another issue is people spraying with the regular nozzle first and then switching to the extension wand. Since there's a huge difference in volume output between the two nozzles, I can see where someone would think the extension doesn't work. I would say it would take 3 slow passes in one spot to equal the amount that is sprayed by the regular nozzle. I have used this gun to spray Fluid Film and the HF brand of bed liner. Although I probably could have benefited from an adjustable nozzle for the bedliner, it is of no consequence for the Fluid Film. You simply adjust your air pressure and gun sweeping pattern. So if you're not doing anything that has aesthetic demands, this gun will be perfect for you. Even then, my bumper turned out just fine for someone with zero experience using an air compressor to paint something. I took off one star partly because of the false description of there being an adjustable nozzle. It's not in the least bit. Another part of the one star is the brass fitting on the end that the nozzle screws into must have had some type of thread sealant on it that made it impossible to remove without breaking the aluminum housing. I took it off so I can clean bedliner out of the orifice, and put it back on with teflon. So in that regard I do not think it's easy to clean if can't be readily disassembled. Read more

Review:Buy the one with the bottle attached is using for fluid film/diy rustproofing spray. Finding the right size bottle/neck will be very difficult Hose attachment did not work with fluid film at 125 psi, but the regular metal spray tip did. (Very dissappointing as this was a major reason i bought this gun- to fluid film the INSIDE of my trucks frame) NO SPRAY ADJUSTABILITY. It just blasts a thick coat on Read more

Review:I bought this specifically because it had an extension wand so i can get to the wheel wells in the bed of the truck. If anywhere this is the worst place on trucks. I can't get the Fluid Film to go through no matter what pressure its set at. As a matter of fact the material comes out the air hole in the top of the gun. It is back-feeding the air into the can. I'm trying to find a solution to this because I need to get to this area. I'd be curious to hear about thicker undercoatings working with this extension. Read more

Review:One word to describe this product is garbage. When I was finished with it I didn't even bother cleaning and I just threw it in the garbage. The lid coming off because it has no threads on it to screw the lid on it's a slide lock which keeps coming off. Read more

Review:Gun works great. I did not give it five stars because the 22 inch extension did not work. I could not get more tha a very fine mist to come out of the extension. And that was with the tip removed, with the tip on the end of the extension tube nothing comes out. I tried to vary the air pressure, cleaned the tube with compressed air, cleans the extension tube nozzle. You get the picture. It just doesn’t work Read more

Review:I undercoat all my shitboxes, I mean cars and trucks. This makes it easy. Wish it held more product but it’s easy to fill and sprays really well with nice control. The wands aren’t that great but they work. The regular nozzle is really good. Worth every penny and has lasted through many undercoat jobs, including my friends shitboxes. Still works like new. Built to last! Worth every penny and then some! Saves me thousands of dollars in salt related repairs. I spray everything with fluid film including inside the wiring fuse boxes, suspension, shocks, struts springs, body panels, wheels, backing plates, driveshafts, etc. It’ll burn off the exhaust quickly and it does stink like manure but wears quickly on the exhaust . I think it’ll spray NHOU too but haven’t tried it yet. Read more

Review:I bought this to spray rust stabilizer and undercoating product The nozzle furnished has one spray pattern which discharges a load of material. I would like to be able to have better control of the spaying volume since the spray tip is not as advertised. I gave it 3 stars because of the faulty description. If one does not have my concern it is a good product Read more

Review:i received this sprayer and it did not have the canister. i was NOT expecting one to come with it. The product picture clearly states that the canister does not come with it. The problem comes when i called this company and wanted to order a canister separately. the person who answered their phone said they did not carry a canister that fits this. i have to go to a local body shop in the area and they did not know if their canister would fit, but luckily their canister fit. my complaint is they should at least sell this with a canister ONLY or tell us where we can buy a canister that would fit. Review:I have no complaints about this gun or any of the accessories besides the trigger. For a trigger that length they really should have made it from die cast aluminum or some other cheap rigid material. The plastic one flexes around the valve its supposed to actuate sometimes and gets stuck beside the valve itself. Bad design on that, but otherwise shes pretty solid so far. Read more

Review:I have been doing rustproofing on my cars for years. I have experience with a variety of spray guns, both for car painting and undercoating. I have a large industrial compressor. This gun seems to airlock and will not spray product. I tried a variety of viscosities (ATF, motor oil, Proform oil-based undercoating). It doesn't seem capable of drawing the fluid and you can see the product trying to flow down the wand tubing, but it never quite gets to the end. I checked all the connections. I suspect that the draw up tube is too large so can't effectively siphon the fluid. Also, I believe the wand tube diameter is also too large. We have two rustproofing guns with wands in our school shop and they work wonderfully. Both have smaller diameter wand tubing. Overall, I would say this design is a complete fail. Even without the wand, it sputters and splatters product. I can't even be bothered trying to return it for a refund. Maybe I got a dud, but I don't think so. Read more

Review:Was thinking of this as a good rustproofing gun. Easy to assemble, but pressure control knob is not that accurate and the gun itself works by ejecting the agent by passing the air, which not really functioning that well, so you get the sprays spontaneously, not continuously as expected. Review:There’s a huge flaw with the one I received. The handle has a lot of side play and if you don’t have it perfectly centered on the plunging rod, it doesn’t actuate it. This can be incredibly frustrating. I’m going to keep it for now, but I will be looking for a better one. Read more
