Review:None of the controls work. Plug it in and it reads the temp but the on/off switch, F/C controls etc, do not work. I've emailed the company, if they are responsive I'll adjust my rating. UPDATE. I am stunned. Just got a call from Bio Green from Germany, apologizing for the thermostat issue and promising to send a replacement unit. When I said I'd adjust my Amazon rating he told me to wait until I receive the replacement unit and am satisfied. Quite possibly the best customer service I have ever experienced. Read more

Review:I carefully read all of the reviews, both positive and negative, and decided to give this a try as I needed a realiable heater and thermostat for my greenhouse this winter. I wanted one that would be safe to leave on unsupervised, and wanted to be able to keep the heat at a specific temperature without having to regularly check it with a thermometer. I also wanted something thet I knew would be safe in case it inadvertently got wet while plants were being watered. This is all of the above!!! I have had the greenhouse thermostat set at 51 degrees for my tropical plants. Temps have dropped as low as 17 degrees Fahrenheit so far (they will be getting lower as winter progresses) and the heater/thermostat have had no problem keeping the greenhouse at a comfortable 51 degrees!! I should add that I do not have my portable greenhouse out in direct sunlight..it is under my deck so it is not getting much heat from direct sunlight. This little heater is doing all the work! And to my surprise, it hasn’t affected my electric bill at all. Very efficient. I am very pleased with my purchase!! Read more

Review:After reading the reviews I was very hesitant , but I needed a heater for my small greenhouse badly and there are not very many greenhouse heaters out there. Actually I was using a little space heater before because I was not able to find a small heater for a greenhouse and some of my plant got frozen and died. After reading that there was a faulty thermostat which is replaced I tried my luck and I'm glad I did. My thermostat works fine and all my plants survived the polar vortex. My greenhouse is 8x8 and not very well insulated, but I have it set up for 35 degree and it stayed 35 degree in the bitter cold we had. I have another thermostat in the greenhouse and both showed the same degree, I would say it is very accurate. What I like with this thermostat, it doesn't warm up the greenhouse like my old one did. The old thermostat started heating at 35 degree and kept heating up to 45 degrees, at least to it got very cold. I don't want to heat my greenhouse, just protect it from freezing. If you need it warmer, just set it up higher. It is very easy to set up, only takes seconds and it's ready to go. Read more

Review:When I read the reviews from other customers I almost didn’t buy this heater for my greenhouse. Many people complained about the thermostat not working but also stated that they were able to get a replacement thermostat from the company overnight! So I thought any company that stands by their product and follows through deserves a chance. As a business owner myself I follow a business model of integrity and excellence and these guys seemed to be following the same model. Well I’m glad I gave this company a chance because not only did everything work right out of the box - it’s doing an excellent job of heating my greenhouse right to the temp I set it to. I don’t have to worry about running in there at night to turn the heat up or down. With these results, if you’re seriously considering getting a heater for your greenhouse, give these guys a try. Even if you do happen to get a faulty thermostat, the important thing is that the company stands behind their product! And just so you know, I rarely review products. But after all the negative reviews on this heater - I had to set the story straight. If you want a good heater from a company that backs its product, this is the one you should get. Read more

Review:I have a small woodstove in my greenhouse and didn't want to have to wake up in the middle of the night to load it, so I paid the extra to have the thermostat with this heater. Not even a month in service, thankfully on my day off, I heard a high pitched whining coming from somewhere and traced it to the thermostat that came with this. It was to the point where I could not even hold it bc it was so hot and I have calloused hands. If I hadn't noticed this in time I imagine it would have started a fire and then burnt my house down too since its right beside it. My greenhouse is professionally wired by a master electrician and have had no other issues from other lights chargers etc. I was also running it per the manufacturers instructions. The heater was not needed or on when I noticed this as it was a warm day. Hoping to hear from manufacturer or seller but I would not recommend the thermostat as its dangerous and was the whole reason I bought this. Not pleased. Read more

Review:Heater arrived on October 18 and worked well throughout the winter, but literally came to a screeching halt today (March 28) as the bearings in the fan motor imploded! Review:This is an amazing heater! I live in Central Alberta Canada. And over the last month, September, we have had 10 nights below freezing thus far and my 16x7x7ft greenhouse has not dropped below 12 degrees with the heater set at 15degrees celcius. The place I'm going testing is the far end of the tent and the heater is opposite to it. I cannot recommend this heater enough. It will expand my grow season well into November. Read more

Review:I was excited to get this product. It arrived well packed. I read ALL the instructions, then set it up in my living room to test the various settings. All was working well but it was rather noisy. Within minutes a bolt came flying off inside the casing. I unplugged the unit and examined it and it was the bolt/screw that keeps the fan on. Now both the bolt and the fan are loose inside the casing. I am outside the time period for Amazon return but it is obviously still on warranty since I only got it a month ago. It will be interesting to see if the warranty is honoured without hassle. And meanwhile I don't have a heater for my greenhouse. UPDATE: Contacted Biogreen and they had a new unit delivered to me within a week. It’s working great keeping plants warm in the greenhouse. Read more

Review:Set up thermometer with camera in greenhouse with heater to keep track temps ....it averages about double what temp is outside...compared to inside... meaning...if it’s 30 degrees outside ...it’s mid to high 50’s inside. I haven’t tried in super cold weather...but given we’re a zone 5 on lake...it does good job of keeping already propagated new seedlings healthy and happy. Read more

Review:The Heater itself looks good, and worked but the thermostat did not work and despite many calls to the "Always there to help you" Tech number, I got NO help and no call back. There is never anyone actually there to help (it must be an answering service?) and no one calls back. Very disappointed that a product arrived not working and that I was unable to reach anyone at the company to discuss the issue.
