Review:So I purchased these pads based on some reviews and looking at the Chemical Guys website and seeing that these got decent reviews but all those reviews are in question now. However, i will keep this short because i have attached a photo of the microfiber pad after being used 2x times as you see it ripped. The pad is okay to use but it is not durable and it is made cheap. If you want better microfiber get the flat one, that people usually use to spread on wax they work just the same and can take a usage. However, that is my real world review. Read more

Review:As other have said, these are absolute garbage!!! I used one pad to apply Opti-Seal and it ripped down the side! I used another pad to apply Colinite #845 and it also ripped. I washed 4 on a very very delicate hand wash cycle and 1 of those ripped! Walmart and Viking pads are better!! Chemical Guys are falling off the market IMHO, they are NO longer synonyms with quality. I have their 50/50 wax and it's the best product they sell. Their Jet Seal is a JOKE, M-Seal is a JOKE and their towels are horrible. Just like these applicators, their towels fall apart at the seams and edges. I was a long time fan but I have to give CG's the AXE!!! You guys lost a very loyal customer. Read more

Review:Used six of these to polish my truck the other day. Really good pad with a firm sponge and good quality terrycloth material. Threw it in the washer and three of the six separated at the seams. Three sponges came completely out. Didn't know these were disposable. Read more

Review:Used one time and already in the trash. Stitching came undone with minimal use...apparently these are single use items. Won't buy again and wouldn't recommend. Read more

Review:The "total garbage" review are sadly correct, several minutes into using one of these (not in the washer, but merely applying liquid wax) it had completely come apart at the seams. Perhaps chemical guys could have these made someplace other than a sweatshop in China employing 6 year olds? I would happily pay the price to have a quality tool. Read more

Review:The best applicator for liquid wax. This product is basically a block of soft foam wrapped in microfiber. Using this applicator instead of the round foam that comes with most wax products will lessen your chances of scratching your paint. In my opinion, this applicator is best when used with a liquid wax, like Butter Wet Wax. There really is only one downside. The applicator is hard to clean. The foam inside will absorb the product. This is what you need to do. Dedicate one applicator for each wax. So if you used one applicator for Butter Wet Wax, only use it for that wax in the future. The microfiber will dry out and the wax will harden. No problem. It will soften again when you put more wax. Just give it a little time and work the liquid in with your hand. Use gloves if you're using synthetic wax. Do not use the applicator while it is hard. Wait for it to soften. Chemical Guys is at their best when making these types of products. This applicator was designed by people who have a lot of experience with liquid waxes. This is perfect for use with their Butter Wet Wax. Highly recommended. This is the applicator for liquid wax. Review:They're okay. Cheaply made, single loose stitching all the way around, no wonder they fall apart in the washer! Doesn't seem like anybody else makes a better one, though. The material is fine, nothing amazing. My cheap round yellow Mother's applicators are a bit higher quality, and much more durable, but I prefer the CG shape much more as it is easier on my hands. I'll continue to use these, just be careful washing them. Read more

Review:Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I ordered the set of Chemical Guys Premium Grade Microfiber Applicators based on the Amazon reviews. Some folks seemed to think that they were great, others that they were junk. The truth lies somewhere in between. First, the microfiber covers seem a bit cheap, although they are adequately constructed (seams, etc.). I was suspicious of the durability and sure enough after one use of cleaning the leather of a car's interior with a mild, water based commercial product, the microfiber is well worn. These sponges probably wouldn't last more than 2-3 times at most. Perhaps they would fare better for the application of exterior wax? As some folks have observed, the sponges don't seem to be too absorbent and that is a highly desirable characteristic to be used as an applicator. Additionally, the sponges did survive the washing machine on a delicate cycle, retaining their shape and texture. Nonetheless, they don't deserve higher ratings because of the poor quality microfiber covering. Improve the microfiber, raise the price a few cents and you would have a home run product. See the accompanying comparison video. Read more

Review:Used them once and they worked great, until I put them in the wash. Followed the specifications on the package and they still started coming apart at the seams. See photo. Highly recommend hand washing these instead of machine wash even though the packaging specifically says that machine washing and drying is fine (with appropriate settings). Read more

Review:Somewhat disappointed with the quality of the microfiber cloth on these pads. They're like the cheap ones you find at Walmart/Canadian Tire, wrapped around a foam sponge. I'll be using these primarily for applying leather cleaner/conditioner rather than use it for applying wax/sealant as a result. If you get the set of 8 on sale then it's an ok deal. Read more

Read more

Read more
