Review:I purchased this drum set after trying to compare multiple different sets from different manufacturers. One of the reasons I chose this set was because of the claim that 40 bonus drum lessons we're included. I thought this is awesome for a beginner like my son whom I purchased this for. I figured this would give my son a chance to find out if playing the drums would be something he really liked and it would also get him a bit of playing under his belt before signing up and paying for lessons from a local teacher. After registering the product and signing up with Melodics, he started the lessons only to find out the lessons are limited to 5 minutes per day. 5 minutes? Really? What a joke. What can be learned with only 5 minutes of playing time? Oh, you can unlock the full lessons with no time limit - by signing up for their service and giving a credit card number. The promise of 40 free lessons is a lie and only meant to trick you into purchasing this drum set. I'm very disappointed in Alesis on this fact alone. So now I'm wondering how many other things I read in the item description is also untrue just to get you to purchase. I thought I was purchasing a decent drum set, now I'm not sure. As far as the drum set itself goes, I'm not completely unhappy. It could have better sound when using headphones. We have used multiple different headphones and earbuds while playing and the sound is a little hollow and has echo, and the volume doesn't go up very loud. When connected to an amp with speakers, the sound and volume are fine, but he will have to use the headphones during evening hours to not disturb people, so the bad sound quality is a little annoying. If purchasing, go ahead and buy a set of drum sticks. Those included with this set are cheap and lightweight and you'll want something a little better. Read more

Review:OMG! I am an older female and this is a bucket list item. I LOVE IT! I have so much fun and wearing headphones when I play keeps everyone from hearing how bad I really am! :) I have the best time messing around on these! Read more

Review:I disliked the sound of the toms from the first moment, in any category. The drums sound unrealistic. Went to a local music store and tested another brands and I was right, the sound on this Turbo Mesh Kit has too much echo and is unrealistic. Whether using it with an amplifier or professional head phones. You will have to invest in a good software to make it sound good. Read more

Review:I’ve been playing guitar for almost 35 years, and I’ve been wanting to learn how to play the drums. Why not use all the time at home during a global pandemic to make it happen. This set is great! Easy to set up, just the right amount of features, and it seems sturdy/well-made. I connected my kit to my PA, so volume is not an issue for me. Some of the reviews state the high-hat is hard to hear through the speaker on the module - I can see why. If you want to learn drums, this is a great kit to start you on your way! Enjoy! Read more

Review:This is good kit for the value, definitely for beginners or kids. This is not something for moderate to advance players. Equipment is decent quality. Sound, eh, just ok. You need headphones or wired speaker hook up. You get some odd noises and occasional delays. The most obvious is the bouncing mesh sound is rather noticable at low volume. If you have headphones it minimal to none. Putting together, took me about an hour or so. The directions were ok, but confusing a few times. Good thing is all pieces are labeled for connections. Overall, good bang for the buck, great for kids or early beginners. Read more

Review:This came neatly boxed. Assembly took a while, but wan't hard. It is great for a beginner to practice quietly with headphones at home. Can be plugged in to an external speaker/guitar amp as well. In addition to the built-in play along tracks, you can play music from phone using aux input. Comes with drum sticks. Extra items I had to buy- headphones, guitar amp, 1/4-1/8in audio cables. Read more

Review:It's a fair electric kit for the price. It's unfortunate there's no way to configure the different drum sounds to make custom kits. Also the aux in just doesn't seem to play back music to well if you want to play along to particular songs. Overall I'm happy with the purchase as this is a quiet way to practice opposed to a traditional acoustic kit, especially for beginners(and their family and neighbors), but I just wish the aux in worked better and you could configure custom kits sounds Read more

Review:I had Roland's HD1 before these, which are one one the if not THE best starter drums. This set for £260 is amazing! Heavy solid metal rack but not to heavy to transport. Super easy to fold in disassemble, 7 acoustic kits,3 world sounding kits. Only for light gigging I would say. Mesh heads feel ace, dual zone drums/cymbals,no choke or double base pedal option. Beginner to intermediate. Read more

Review:Total rubbish, had 3 kick pedals fail in 6 weeks. After the 3rd failure Alesis UK support "inmusic" asked me to return the pedal the control module and the wiring look for full diagnosis. I received the control module back in the same box completely unopened with another pedal that will undoubtedly go wrong again in the next week. Support rep informed me that they will just keep replacing the pedal like for like until the warranty runs out. Crap product, crap support, I will be returning and buying a Roland instead. Review:Sadly returning due to a fault , The bass pedal and hihat dont work and work intermittent when pressed , the bass pedal creates. Double tap and its not the settings creating this double tap (looked at manual and nothing mentioning double tap pedal) it may be a fault with the pedals or the actual computer module that its connected to, the other symbols and toms including the ride work fine but the fault and let down is the pedals, good kit in terms of quality of the actual tom and snare drums, their hard wearing good quality of sound and material but as mentioned its the hihat and bass pedal that is the let down. I imagine this could be a good kit for someone learning or just a casual jam in the house but im returning this to now seek and purchase a bit more expensive kit. Read more

Review:Purchased for my 9 year old son to start learning on. He is very happy but we did have to buy a separate amp though, which i inadvertently hadn't thought about so was an additional (and unexpected) cost. You could just output sound through headphones, but to be honest it didn't seem right just hearing drums in this way and after all, you can still turn down the amp if the sound does get too unbearable (which we haven't done - yet!) Review:Bought this for my son as a Xmas present as he has been learning the drums at school for a few months. Was super easy to put together and comes with easy to read instructions. The mesh heads feel really smooth and responsive when hit and the built in functions make learning and improving fun and easy. I especially like the built in metronome with added timing indicator which shows you if your going too fast or too slow. This kit is almost silent when headphones are plugged in, however we do hear some pounding from the foot pedals when we are downstairs as the kit is in my sons upstairs bedroom, but other than that it is silent and my son loves practicing on it. The only one negative we have come across is that the snare drum is sometimes unresponsive when hit, we are unsure yet whether this is due to the way my son is hitting it or whether there is a fault with that pad. We will see in time. All in all a very good starter kit for beginners to learn on and great value for money Read more
