Review:I purchased this for my daughter thinking it would be a fun way for her to pass the time while stuck inside but I didn't realize how much coding she would actually be able to learn while playing. Once we got the drone going, my daughter made it flip in the air! The dog wanted to get it so we had to put him in the other room. Blockly was quick to learn and my little girl loves coding now. She even programmed the drone to fly on a fixed path which I didn't know it could do. She keeps asking me what else can we get the drone to do, so I made an obstacle course in the house and she had to measure it out and make a program to navigate it. I'm going to enroll her in Robolinks online tutoring so she can learn more because I can't keep up with her. Read more

Review:I bought this drone because I'm a teacher that uses robots in the classroom as teaching tools for coding, and at $90 it's not too bad to test out. A lot of drones are either too expensive, cheap but break easily, just remote control only with no educational value, are programmable but don't have a lot of content for learning, have connection problems when you have more than a handful in the class, or several of the problems above. What I found is that the CoDrone MIni actually has a lot of content for teaching. Their website includes a bunch of tutorials, and they also provide lesson plans, which are useful for me as a teacher. Unlike a lot of drones I've found, this one actually gets pretty in-depth in the teaching material. In classrooms (whenever schools fully reopen), we often have to deal with Bluetooth problems with a lot of robots, which I've had before with a few of the other drones I've used. This one seems to be using a radio signal like an RC car, so having a bunch run shouldn't be a problem in a classroom setting. I'll need to test this with more at a time, but based on past experience with radio remote controllers, it shouldn't be a problem. As for durability, this is something I always look for with things I bring into the classroom for the kids. I've been flying it around my house a bunch to test how much of a beating it can take, because with it passing between a bunch of students and people testing out their code over and over, it'll have to be able to take a bunch of hits. It has a shell on top which protects the board inside. The shell eventually got scratched up, but that didn't mess up its performance. You can also use the remote to balance the drone out, and it looks like you can do that with code as well. I'm pretty excited to have my students try it out whenever we can get back in the classroom! Review:CoDrone mini is awesome, it is so easy to use and to quickly get up and running. I enjoyed the fact that the frame is very robust making it super difficult to break. Unlike other drones when it crashes the motors stay in place. Also, the motors can easily be replaced if necessary which is great if one of them gets worn out with time. Programming the drone was simple. The blocks in Blockly are easy to use and the ability to use python to control it was the main reason I purchased it. I think this is great for someone who is beginning programming and getting into drones. Read more

Review:CoDrone mini is really fun drone that you can use it for both entertainment and educational purposes. I really enjoyed flying CoDrone mini with the remote, and spent first day flying it around without touching the computer. And I've spent sometime using it to learn coding with Python, and it provides great lessons online. Highly recommended! Read more

Review:The drone and controller work great, but the drone moves so quickly that I'd need a room the size of a gymnasium to be able to control it. That being said, the website is one of the most poorly constructed that I've ever seen. The search feature doesn't work, and tech support is unavailable/worthless. I wanted to learn Python, but haven't been able to locate any drivers for their drones. So my computer is unable to pair with the controller. I'm at the point of requesting a refund, but I'm unable to find that information on their website, also. Read more

Review:I was familiar with the other drone the Codrone Pro, so when I saw this was available I had to check it out. This thing is TINY (about 3" square), but don't let the small size fool you, this is a very stable easy to use drone. The drone came paired to the remote so that was really easy! I just started venturing into programming with it, but the block coding, browser based programming that Robolink produces is really easy to use , and I was able to pair my drone using the remote within just a couple minutes and started programming, the drone also uses Python as an option, but I have not used it for that quite yet. I really like that I don't need batteries for the remote, you can power it by using its USB cable, or if you want to be more mobile, the remote does take AAA's. Read more

Review:This is my first time buying a programmable drone, and so far I'm having fun flying it around! The instruction manual is very easy to follow and once I got a hang of it, I was able to fly it in my room as well as outside without any issues. The best part is the drone can do flips! I also coded some flying pathways for the drone with the help of a coding language called blockly. Great programmable drone for first timers! Read more
